INTRODUCTION to ATCs (Artist Trading Cards)

Wednesday, April 25th 6:30-8:30pm

***AGES 16+ welcomeATCs have only one RULE: their size is always 2 ½” x 3 ½”

Learn all about this hot, little trend in the art world and join in the fun! Create up to 6 ATCs in class (depending on how quickly you work. They can then be used on cards, scrapbooks or to trade. Terrie will teach you how to build your mini collages step-by-step in a fun & creative environment.

ATCs are fun, easy, unintimidating and addictive!

Terrie will provide kits for each student filled with images, papers, trims, doodad and a couple of alternative materials guaranteed to feed your creative soul.

You can also, if you like, bring some of your own stash to play with.

Please bring your BASIC TOOL KIT.

BASIC TOOL KIT includes: Craft knife(ie: Xacto) with EXTRA blades, small self-healing cutting mat (12-13” square), pen, pencil, metal edged clear grid ruler, double stick tape, permanent glue stick, bone folder, paper piercer/bookbinder’s fine awl, bristled paint brushes – both detail & ¾-1” flat wash (Terrie recommends Golden Talkon synthetic because they do not shed), 1/8” hole punch, a sanding block – ultra fine – fine grit and an ink blending toll (can be official Ranger brand too but makeup sponges & cotton balls work too).

"Lady of the Lake" Bookbinding CLASS

This is ONE in a series of book making classes that focus on different binding methods. This binding is a continuous long stitch using a single length of thread. Learn about basic book structure and construction techniques. This book is geared toward those that have some book binding exposure and looking to learn more. Create a beautiful book using hand marbled paper & book cloth. Decorate your book with a stamped & embossed tile featuring Camelot themed rubber stamps. Use your book as a journal, photo album, scrapbook or combination of all three.

Vintage Mica Charms Class

Join Terrie Lightfoot for two hours of creative MADNESS with Mica, gold leaf, metal, and vintage images from her extensive collection. Create as many charms as time allows. Mica charms make a beautiful and unusual gift - simply string one or more charms on to a leatehr cord or metal chain to create a personalized & incredibly UNIQUE charm necklace for you or someone special!

SUPPLIES: All materials will be provided including vintage text and two mini collage sheets with 45+ images - enabling you to make LOTS more charms at home after class!

Please bring your BASIC TOOL KIT + a pair of small tweezers to work with small parts. IF you have an Eyelet Setting tool, like a Cropodile, please bring it along as well. Terrie will have a few but more would be helpful.

You will leave with ONE finished Baby Onesie.

The FIRSt in our upcomign lineup of Needle Felting classes...Bring any WOOL garment (needle felting ONLY works on Wool) that needs repair done to a moth hole (or three!) - a skirt, blazer, coat or sweater... Jackie will teach you the fine art of "painting" with wool roving using just a felting needle. Not only will your "fix" the hole but you will leave with a "new" wearable garment featuring your very own artwork! Simple technique, beautiful results! You will go home with at least ONE repaired garment - AND a foam block and felting needle for future projects and/or classes!

Create a MOSAIC tile Valentine for Mom, Dad, your BFF - even that screte Crush! Lisa will show you how to make your very own Poymer Clay tiles using rubber stamps. You will then paint, glitter and glue tiles to create EITHER a Heart-shaped wooden hanging plaque or a "fairy wand". ALL supplies are provided - just bring soem CREATIVITY and a smile!

Create a heart-shaped pendant combining semi-precious stones, freshwater preals and crystals with polymer clay. Lisa will demonstrate various shaping and blending techniques to create your heart pendants - as well as tricks for embellishing with glitter, paints & beads. Hearts can then be made into wearable art by adding a (pendant) bail or a pin back. Explore your One-of-a-kind style by creating One-of-a-kind art/jewlery! You will go home with 2 pieces of finished jewelry, ready to wear or give! ALL supplies are provided - just bring a smile and some CREATIVITY!

Reversible Girls Pinafore Class with Kim P

**Beginner Class but students MUST have some experience sewing on a machine and cutting from a paper pattern.

Spring will be here in no time! Now is the time to stitch up something sweet for your little girl. This cross-back pinafore dress is simple & practical but SO adorable – it is reversible, can be any length and with no closures, the width easily grows with your child (once it is too short to be worn as a dress it can become a pinafore top over capris or leggings…). The 1st week you will learn how to: cut a pinafore style dress and diaper cover or Capri pant from a paper pattern and begin machine stitching dress together . The 2nd week you will finish your dress by making buttonholes and attaching buttons by hand. You will also make your diaper cover/capri during this 2nd class. Patterns, needles, thread, pins, interfacing, buttons and Sewing Machines supplied.
** Students Must bring Cotton Fabric (Quilting wt works best for beginners) for project:
NWB – 24M - 1.25 yard for outside of Dress, 1.25 yd for inside of Dress & 3/4 yard for Diaper Cover OR 1.25 yd for Capri.
Size 1 – 4T – 1 5/8 yard for outside of Dress, 1 5/8 yd for inside of Dress & 1 3/4 yd for Capri
I would HIGHLY SUGGEST Pre-washing fabrics in Warm Water / Tumble Dry to Pre-shrink fabrics. (The yardage requirements allow for shrinkage).
You will leave with ONE finished Pinafore dress with coordinating Diaper Cover or Capri.
**Please let me know child’s SIZE that you desire when registering for class (Newborn through size 4T patterns available)!

ORIGAMI Gift Box Class with Rita

Learn to make functional, pieced paper Origami gift boxes with Rita Rivera-Reimer at Pinc! You won't even need to wrap your gifts if packagedin these strudy, beautiful boxes made form heavy paper. Rita will have lots of paper patterns to choose form - even some in Holiday prints! You will go home with at least 3 completed boxes in various sizes, depending on student's speed at folding!

Polymer Clay Pendants Class
Sunday, November 27th 10am - 2pm (approx half hour lunch break at 12:30pm)
FEE: $35 includes all materials/instruction

Learn the art of making polymer clay Pendants using various techniques! You will make tiles during the morning and then embellish, color, glitter and adorn in the second half of class (after lunch). Lisa will then show you how to create unique jewelry using (readily available) polymer clay mixed with collage & paint techniques. Great class for a group of girlfriends - come explore your creativity together! Also a fantastic GIFT idea - you will go home with at least 2 completed polymer pendants ready to wear! Altered Wine Bottle Class

Fabric paper is a unique technique that’s fast, fun, & fabulous! Create your own custom “paper” using fabric, tissue paper & paints. Once dry, fabric paper can be cut into smaller shapes, die cut or used while in a multitude of different projects from art quilties to scrapbooking.

Please bring your BASIC TOOL KIT and an APRON if you want to protect your clothes.
